DIY Pumpkin Diorama + Free Patterns!

New tutorial! Shows how to create a pumpkin diorama with a miniature haunted house in it!

Pumpkin dioramas are very popular this year and they are so fun to make! You can really get creative with these. If you don't want to do any carving (or minimal-carving), this is a great pumpkin decorating idea!

Materials (and where I got them):
•fake pumpkin (from Michaels, with the opening pre-cut)
•patterns at the link above
•Xacto knife or scissors with sharp point
•card stock or construction paper in multiple colors
•glue stick
•hot glue (Walmart)
•black spanish moss (JoAnns)
•firefly lights or a led tealight (Hobby Lobby)
•mini pumpkins (Hobby Lobby)
•pebbles (from my garden)

Paper Haunted Houses

New video! This one shows how to create these 

paper haunted houses that you can fill with candy! 

And when the candy is gone, you can put a light in them (not a candle :) ) 

and use them as luminaries!

Candy doesn't last a super long time at my house, haha, so these
houses in the photo are not filled with candy.
But, something like the mini candy bars would be perfect to fill it with!

Halloween Countdown Pumpkin

New video! October is here, which means Halloween is quickly approaching. Here is a tutorial to create a chalkboard pumpkin to count down to Halloween with!

You will need:

-a faux pumpkin

-chalkboard paint

-acrylic paint

-small & large paint brushes

-pencil

-chalk

1. Use the pencil to draw an outline of where the chalkboard paint will go on the pumpkin.

2. Fill this area in with chalkboard paint. It's best to do at least 2 coats - let dry an hour between coats.

3. Use the acrylic paint to add a border and the "days until Halloween" lettering.

4. Use the chalk to write in the number of days until Halloween. That's it!
