How to Fold an Envelope

A new video went up today!
Today, I'm showing you a method for making an envelope for any size of card.

You will need:
-paper
-scissors
-ruler
-pencil
-glue

Tips:

-If your card is not a rectangle or square (it has one or more rounded or irregular sides, etc.) instead of tracing the card, draw a rectangle or square that the card will easily fit in.
Then, just follow the instructions in the video.

-If the paper is not big enough, even after you've turned the card diagonally, you could tape or glue two pieces of paper together, then just follow the video.

Tutorial: Mother's Day Card {2015}

A new video is up! It is all about how to make a cute flower pot themed card for Mother's Day.

This card is simple to make and I think it would
work great as a craft for kids to make!

Here are the patterns:

To print it, hover over it and click the right icon at the top (that says "Pop-out" when you hover on it). Next, click on the printer icon at the top. Finally, make sure the paper size on the lower left is set to 8x10 and the "fit to page option" is checked.

(Note: If you do not have a Google account you unfortunately may not be able to access this file due to the way Google Drive (where this file is stored) works. If you have a Google account, open another window and log into it, then reload this page. If you don't have a google account, you can make one here)

If you try this, I'd love to see it! Tag me on instagram @pugdemonium

This idea was based on some cute Mother's Day cards on Pinterest.

DIY Pop-up Birthday Card + Free Patterns

A new video is up today, showing how to create a pop-up birthday card. Here it is:

If you are here for the templates, here they are.

For most of these patterns you only need to trace and cut one. This excludes the candle pattern - you'll need 4 of these - and the sign pattern - you'll need 13 of those. I've written how many you'll need of each on the pattern also.

To print this, hover over it and click the right icon at the top
(that says "Pop-out" when you hover on it). Next, click on the printer icon at the top. If your browser is Chrome, make sure the paper size on the lower left is set to either Letter or A4, and uncheck fit to page.

If this is printing off the page, you can try clicking scale/shrink to page or fit to page. Just make sure you print both pages this way.

(Note: If you do not have a Google account you unfortunately may not be able to access this file due to the way Google Drive (where this file is stored) works. If you have a Google account, open another window and log into it, then reload this page. If you don't have a google account, you can make one here)

*Note: if you are having issues getting this to print right, please comment below or email me at pugdemonium1@gmail.com to let me know.

For this project, you'll need:

- The patterns above

- Cardstock, Scrapbook paper, art paper, construction paper -
any paper that is a little heavier than printer paper should work

-Tape

-Glue (A glue stick or glue gun is best)

-Sharpie or other marker

-Pencil

-Scissors

The simplest way to make this card would be to trace the cake and candle patterns onto white paper, then color them in. I used multiple papers to create the cake, candles, flames, etc. This is quite a bit more work, and you'll need to add little tabs to everything so you can attach it all together.

Also, if you want to make this card a little sturdier and more permanent, add tabs to cake pattern #2 and glue everything on, instead of using tape.
